Purpose of this privacy policy

We are PureLabs B.V., Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42044732, responsible for the processing of your personal data. No data protection officer has been appointed. For all questions about your privacy, you can reach us directly at support@purelabs.nl.

In this privacy policy we explain, per situation, which personal data we collect, why we do so, how long we retain it, who we share it with and how we protect this data. This way you know exactly where you stand.

Placing an order in the online store

When you place an order with us, we process your name, delivery address, email address, telephone number and payment details. This data is necessary to perform the purchase agreement: we need to deliver your order and process the payment. Without this information we cannot ship your order.

  • Legal basis: performance of the agreement.
  • Retention period: 7 years in accordance with the statutory fiscal retention obligation.
  • Shared with: Shopify, payment providers and delivery services, solely to the extent necessary for the fulfilment of your order.
Contacting customer service

When you contact us by email or another channel, we process your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this data solely to answer and resolve your question or complaint.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interest and, where applicable, performance of the agreement.
  • Retention period: 12 months after the contact is closed, unless a longer retention period is legally required.
Signing up for our marketing communications

When you sign up for our newsletter or marketing communications, we process your name and email address to inform you about new products, offers and updates from PureLabs.

  • Legal basis: your explicit consent.
  • Retention period: until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of every email or via support@purelabs.nl.
  • We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Using our website

When you visit our website, we collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and click behaviour via cookies and similar technologies. We use this data to make the website function correctly, improve the user experience and analyse visitor behaviour.

Applying for our vacancies

When you apply for a vacancy at PureLabs, we process your name, contact details, CV and cover letter solely to assess your application and to contact you.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in the context of recruitment and selection.
  • Retention period: 4 weeks after completion of the application procedure. With your consent, we retain your data for a maximum of 1 year for future vacancies.
  • Your application data is not shared with third parties outside PureLabs.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK GDPR if you are in the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: you can request which data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification: you can request that incorrect or incomplete data be corrected.

  • Right to data portability: you can request your data in a structured and readable format to transfer it to another party.

You can submit requests via support@purelabs.nl. We respond within 30 days and may ask you for identity verification to protect your privacy.

Security of your data

PureLabs takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. Our website uses a secure HTTPS connection.

  • We never share your data with third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
  • Third parties that process personal data on behalf of PureLabs, such as delivery services, payment providers and email platforms, are bound by a data processing agreement and may only use the data for the agreed purposes.
Filing a complaint

Are you not satisfied with the way PureLabs handles your personal data? Please contact us first at support@purelabs.nl. We are happy to resolve your complaint internally.

If we cannot resolve it together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or if you are in the United Kingdom, with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) via ico.org.uk.

Changes to this privacy policy
  • PureLabs reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time in order to remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations or due to changes in our services.
  • The most current version of this policy is always available on our website.
  • In the event of material changes affecting your rights, we will inform you by email, insofar as we have your email address.
